Colts owner, Jim Irsay tried to get Peyton to sign a new contract that would keep him playing in Indy until he retires, but Peyton wants to wait until the end of the season before he decides/negotiates.

Irsay says the regardless of when Peyton signs, he will be the highest-paid player in the NFL.
