Are porn tapes the way into Hollywood? Probably not but Lawrence Fishburne’s daughter thinks so.

TMZ has reported that Fishburne’s 19-year-old daughter Montana Fishburne is starring in a porno flick under Vivid Entertainment in order to get an entertainment career.

“I’ve watched how successful Kim Kardashian became and I think a lot of it was due to the release of her sex tape,” she told TMZ.

Perhaps her successful actor father wasn’t qualified enough to give her career advice?

Granted, non-Black women like Pamela Anderson, Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian made out pretty nicely by trading sex faces for the camera but how about Black girls that did the same thing? The track record isn’t so great.

The chick that played Judy on Family Matters tried porn. We barely saw her when the show was on. She’d sparingly come down stairs once every 10 episodes. Then one day she stopped coming down stairs but nobody noticed. The next time we seen her was a decade later and she’s doing porn to pay bills. What did she win? She did get a spot on Dr. Drew’s Celebrity Rehab to kick her weed addiction.

Former Playboy model Nicole Narain leaked a XXX tape of her and actor Colin Farrell. He’s a box office favorite and she posed naked for Playboy. That sounds like a recipe to be the Black Pam Anderson except her biggest rake in was also a spot of Dr. Drew’s Celebrity Rehab to cure her sex addiction.

Karrine “Superhead” Steffans, or rather an adult entertainment company, leaked a sex tape of the video vixen. The tape was released after she was already famous from her book about having sex with anybody with a record deal but did nothing to enhance her celebrity. If anything it helped kill whatever little celebrity she had left and maybe helped put a visual to what she wrote about in her books.

The only real success story I can point to of Black people getting more famous releasing a sex tape is Ray-J. He went on to become a nicely paid reality star, which allowed him to finally shed the “Brandy’s brother” identity. People still didn’t want to buy his music but they tuned in to watch his shows.

Speaking of which, Caviar, the Black Russian girl from the Love of Ray-J is reportedly doing porn now. So we’ll see if that’ll make people care about her. Probably not.

“Idol” producers are now scrambling to find a replacement not just for Simon Cowell, but Ellen too. No comment from Jennifer or Steven’s reps. Producers considered Jennifer Lopez one of the best mentors to ever appear on the show, and she is said to be a huge “Idol” fan. Picking Lopez would give the show a credible music industry figure to replace Ellen DeGeneres, who was criticized for her lack of technical music-critiquing skills. In a way, she’d be more of a replacement for Paula Abdul — than for Ellen.

(AllHipHop News) Foxy Brown was involved in a “massive brawl” at the lobby of a New York City apartment building, reports say.

Foxy was visiting somebody at a luxury penthouse on 43rd street and the fight exploded in the lobby, TMZ reports. Foxy was throwing blows in the fracas with several other people, but no reason for the melee has been determined.

One source said that Foxy was fighting with her own manager.

According to published reports, the IRS has filed a lien against the rapper for failing to pay $1.13 million.

While the taxes are not related to his label, Young Money, they stem from his organization, One Family Foundation.

According to sources, that foundation was put together to create opportunities for disadvantaged youth. Unfortunately, taxes were not paid in 2004, 2005 and 2007.

Snoop Dogg found himself in a little hot water with the boys in blue 24 hours before his concert yesterday in Oklahoma.

A video posted on the internet shows an Oklahoma member of the Crips threatening Snoop based on comments he made about gang life outside of Los Angeles in a 2009 interview with DJ Green Lantern.

“Gang life has dramatically changed in L.A,” Snoop said. “In California we are playing by a different set of rules and regulations, so all these cats out here you see throwing up their flag and reppin’ need to be careful because that could end up real bad for them.”

The teenager’s actions were sparked because he heard the 22-year-old white man listening to rap music. The victim was walking down a street listening to rap music, when the teen then told the victim to stop listening to rap music because “white people shouldn’t listen to rap music.”

He then struck the victim in the face.  The 14 year old was taken into custody on Monday and charged with battery.

Yvonne Martinez, a police spokesperson- says the teen could face a hate-crime enhancement charge because he showed “extreme prejudice against the victim because of his race.”  The state attorney’s office will review the charges while the teen is being held in the juvenile detention center.
